OUR MISSION
The Mayfield Graves County Long Term Recovery Group exists to address the needs of the community in response to damage sustained from disasters. The MGC LTRG provides coordinated management of long-term recovery efforts, logistical and warehousing support for disaster relief operations, and advocates for ongoing resources and preparedness within community agencies.
The Mayfield-Graves Long Term Recovery Group formed in the months following the deadly December 10th, 2021 tornado that tore through west Kentucky. Since December 2021, the LTRG has responded to that disaster as well as three subsequent natural disasters, none of which were federally declared (to read more, click here). During periods without active disasters, the MGC LTRG continues its work on preparedness and mitigation programming, in partnership with its network of community partners.
